Brandi huddled on the bed in her new cell, contemplating how she ended up in this situation. She’d run away from home when she was a teenager, working odd jobs across the country just to pay her way, never staying in a place more than a couple of months.
And then Shane walked into the gas station she was holed up in. Charismatic, sexy…he offered her pleasure beyond her imagination. So she left with him, without a backwards glance. Better to be pawed by him, then that gap-toothed smelly ogre who owned the gas station.
And then SHE had to go and ruin everything! That brunette bitch with the legs that wouldn’t quit! What did Shane see in her anyway? She had flabby tits, saggy ass, dull hair and a big nose. Not very attractive at all.
And what happens? Shane turns her, makes her his and leaves Brandi sitting in this dank cell…to be a plaything to his new lover.
Not if Brandi had anything to say about it. Shane would be hers again, even if she had to kill the bitch to do it.
The cell door opened and Brandi looked up to see Carmen. She could smell Shane all over the bitch and she growled in anger.
“Still some fight left in you, I see.” Carmen smirked. With a snarl, Brandi jumped up and tried to attack Carmen, but Carmen simply batted her away like an annoying fly. Brandi crashed into the far wall and fell to the ground, dazed but unhurt. Carmen turned and closed the door, before leaning against it. She casually crossed her arms and stared at Brandi. “I don’t know why you keep trying to fight me. Shane gave you to me and I can do anything to you I wish, including killing you. But…I don’t want to kill you…not yet anyway.”
“I will never be your slave!” Brandi hissed.
“You say that now. But I’m pretty sure I can change your mind.” Carmen smirked.
“Touch me and I’ll fucking gut you.” Brandi snarled, jumping to her feet. Carmen made a “come on” gesture, essentially waving the red cape before the bull and Brandi rose to the challenge. She ran at Carmen, head-on, and Carmen simply got an arm around her neck and body slammed her to the bed. She resumed her casual pose against the door.
“That all you got?” Carmen asked. Brandi was up like a shot, charging Carmen once more. But this time she had a plan. As Carmen made to grab her, Brandi buttonhooked like a linebacker in the NFL and ducked under Carmen’s arm, going for the door. Carmen was surprised for a split second, not expecting it. Brandi got the door open slightly before it was slammed closed and she found herself airborn again. She landed on the bed, hard, knocking the breath from her lungs.
Carmen took advantage of her dazed state and put into use the items she’d brought with her (she’d thank Shane for them later). 8 clicks later and Brandi’s wrists and ankles were handcuffed to the bed. She screamed out her rage, but there was only Carmen to hear her.
Carmen let her vampire free and grinned wickedly.
“And now…it’s time to play.” she whispered, pulling a bladed whip from the bag that Brandi just took notice of.
Carmen approached the bound woman and Brandi began to scream.
Thank goodness for soundproofed rooms.
Carmen spent an enjoyable few hours trying to break Brandi. The girl was resilient, a fact Carmen was beginning to admire. She just needed to find the right way to break her will.
She was into her 5th hour of torturing the girl when her cell phone rang. Sighing irritably, she set down the hot poker she had been prodding Brandi with and wiped her hands on the towel she was using.
“Hello?” she answered.
“Is this Lu-Lu Marquez?” came a voice Carmen hadn’t heard in almost 8 years, and the only one she let get away with calling her “Lu-Lu”.
“Oh my god! Dyna Lee, is that you?” Carmen grinned.
“The one and only! How ya doin, cupcake?”
“I’m doing well, and yourself?” Carmen smiled, sitting on the side of the bed next to Brandi.
“Eh. I’m living.”
“Where are you? You sound close?”
“I’m actually in town. Decided to pack up and move, try my luck in Haven.”
“Oh! That’s great! Do you need a place to stay?”
“If you know someplace cheap, I’d be thankful. Didn’t have an opportunity to look for an apartment before the move.” Dyna explained.
“I can sublet my apartment to you. I’m not living there at the moment, so it’s all yours.”
“When did this happen?” Dyna was surprised. She never imagined Carmen living anywhere but that apartment.
“We have a lot to talk about, my friend. I’ll give you directions to the apartment from where you are. The landlord will be expecting you to give you the keys to the place. Go get settled and we’ll have dinner together tomorrow night.”
“Why not lunch?” Dyna wondered.
“That’s part of what I need to talk to you about. Dinner, tomorrow night at 7. I’ll text you with directions.”
“Then I look forward to it. Mind if I bring a friend?”
“Not at all. The more the merrier.” Carmen smiled. “See you tomorrow night. And Dy?”
“It’s good to have you here. I’ve missed you.”
“Ditto that, cupcake. See you tomorrow.” Dyna hung up and Carmen giggled like a schoolgirl. She jumped up with a laugh before looking at Brandi, who was currently sporting a dozen bleeding welts, bruises and burns.
“I’ll deal with you later.” she growled, unlocking the handcuffs and putting them back in her bag. She gathered up the other things she’d brought before leaving the room, closing and locking the door behind her.
She had to let Shane know they were in for some company the following evening.
Now what would you suspect a Vampire D.A to be doing at the wee hours, you might imagine? While Carmen was enjoying herself if toturing her blood doll Brandi, Shane was in his den, which was like his own personal space away from the prying eyes of the world. Shane was actually playing golf with a nintendo wii when Carmen came into the den. Having just reached the eighteenth hole, he was doing well on the leaders’ table and was going for the shot. The heady smell however of Carmen, from the blood beating of Brandi, totally threw him off his game and he missed the shot.
“Shit!” He exclaimed, as the ball rolled into the water hazard on the screen. It would have looked comical too, but it was a game after all, unlike the real life games he liked to play with people’s lives Tossing down the controller, he then spun on his heel and caught sight of the delicious smile on Carmen’s lips.
“Gee, she was never that good for me. What did you do, poke her right up though to her brains?: Shane asked, curious over his mate’s play habits.
She found him in his den, playing golf on his Wii system. He missed a shot and swore as the ball landed in a water hazard. He turned in his seat and caught sight of the grin on Carmen’s face.
“Gee, she was never that good for me. What did you do, poke her right up though to her brains?” Shane asked.
“Now why would I do something like that?” she smirked, moving to straddle his lap. “This is even better. A friend of mine is in town, moving here actually, whom I haven’t seen in 8 years. I’m letting her sublet my apartment and I invited her and her friend over for dinner tomorrow evening. That okay with you?” she wondered, wrapping her arms around his neck. If he said no, she was prepared to use everything at her disposal, including her own body, to get him to change his mind.
Now, Shane was hardly expecting Carmen to crawl onto his lap and straddle him the way she did. Something told him that she wanted something. Her arms went around his neck, and the wily D.A. raised an eyebrow at her actions. As delicious as she smelt, there was something ticking over in her mind. What was she thinking?
A friend of mine is in town, moving here actually, whom I haven’t seen in 8 years. I’m letting her sublet my apartment and I invited her and her friend over for dinner tomorrow evening. That okay with you?”
“Dinner? Wait, who is this friend? And taking your apartment?” He was full of questions, often not keen on just entertaining anyone that he didn’t know.
Shane pulled back slightly and then he had to ask. “You’re not going to play Kenny G and make that god awful dish again are you? You do realize I am a better cook.” He said, feeling quite confident in that statement. Then, he asked in a low voice. “Are…these people human? Cause they might end up on the menu.”
“Yes, dinner. Her name is Dyna James, Dyna Lee to her friends. We were college roomies a long time ago, went through Academy together. She became a private investigator, one of the best on the east coast. I’m sure you can find her on the internet. And she just upped and moved. Didn’t even look for a place to live before she came here.” Carmen explained. “So I told her she could have my place.”
“You’re not going to play Kenny G and make that god awful dish again are you? You do realize I am a better cook.”
She smacked his arm. “I can cook. And there is nothing wrong with Kenny G. You need to broaden your horizons a bit, lover.” she smirked.
“Are…these people human? Cause they might end up on the menu.”
“Last time I spoke to Dyna, she found out she was a witch. So she’s kind of human, I guess. And her friend would be Anthony Washington. We call him “Booker T” on account he’s one huge guy, use to play football. He’s a werewolf.” Carmen sat back and looked at him shrewdly. “You don’t have a problem with weres, do you?”
